DizzCube · fall in 2D, think in 3D
You play on a surface and think in a cube. Four sides, every one of them playable — in the browser, in a single file: no network once it has loaded; it stores nothing and sends nothing.
The game lives on its own page, /dizzcube/play/.
That page is the only exception to this site’s no-JavaScript rule: it
carries the game’s own script, opens no further connection once loaded, and
stores nothing on your device.
What it is
- Four sides, one cube. Each side of the cube is a board of its own, and the vertical edges belong to two sides at once: a row cleared on one side takes the edge cell of its neighbour with it. That is where the thinking in three dimensions lives.
- One file. The whole game is one HTML file. Nothing is loaded afterwards.
- Offline. Once it has loaded it needs no network — airplane mode is enough.
- No data. No account, no sign-in, no audience measurement. Nothing is stored on your device, and while you play, nothing leaves it. Scores last only while the page is open; copy them to keep them.
How to play
Between two pieces you turn the cube and pick the side the next piece falls on; on that side you move, rotate and drop it — a piece in the colour of its side scores extra, a full row clears, and the game ends when the side you chose has no room left.
- Keyboard. The arrow keys turn the cube and Enter locks the side; then ← → move, ↑ or X rotates, Z rotates back, ↓ drops softly and Space drops at once. Esc or P pauses.
- Touch. Swipe to turn the cube, tap to lock the side; then swipe sideways to move, tap to rotate — the right half turns clockwise, the left half the other way — and swipe down to drop.
- Levels. Six, from Journeyman — ten seconds to turn, three pieces shown ahead — to Lightning: one second, nothing ahead, and the cube spins after every piece.
